One Sentence

Yesterday I wrote one sentence.
I am a writer. I am not trying to be a writer, I am a writer. But yesterday I wrote one sentence.
I write my novel, The Gate House, which will be published by Virtual Tales this year, sometimes with only one sentence a day.
I have found that the important thing is to say something everyday. I can't let a week go by and write nothing, because then I am not a writer. But each sentence builds up paragraphs which build up chapters which make a book.
I would love to spend a summer, or even a week-end at some scenic retreat writing, but right now my schedule permits sometimes only one sentence.
By making writing part of my life, I am sending a message to myself that this is what I am, and what I want in my life will expand.
